Bryce Merckling was the starting varsity quarterback at Plano West Senior High School
for 2 years. He is the school’s all-time leader in career passing yards, passing
touchdowns, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, and total touchdowns. He was also
a 3 year starter for the baseball team where he holds a wide range records including
most career stolen bases and two no-hitters. Bryce played football for one year
at Midwestern State then went on to play one season of baseball at University of
Texas at Dallas.

NFL All Pro WR
Jake Reed made his pro debut in the NFL in 1991 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played
for the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints over his 12 yr career. Most people
believe 1996 was Jake's best year, hauling in 72 receptions with 1320 receiving
yards and 7 TDs.

Almond finished with 7,342 passing yards, the second most in school history, behind
Brett Favre's total of 7,695 in 1987-90. He set the school single-season record
of total offense at 2,762 yards. Ending his career with 51 touchdown passes tying
him for second most touchdowns in school history.
Director of Operations
O’Brien grew up in Taylor, Texas and graduated from Taylor High School in
2005. He then went on to Angelo State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s
Degree in Criminal Justice in 2011. He has been with Old School Quarterbacks since
inception. O’Brien also works full-time as the Channel Executive Consultant
at Advantix Solutions Group, where he helps manage and operate the channel program
at Advantix.
Tanner Jacobs
Tanner graduated from Crawford High School in 2006 where he competed in football,
basketball, baseball, track and golf. He was All-State in football, basketball and
track his senior year and was a quarterback and defensive back on the 2004 State
Championship football team.
He went on to compete at Angelo State on a football scholarship and was a 4 year
letterman as a defensive back.
Upon graduating from Angelo State with a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology, Tanner
joined the Cleveland Browns Strength and Conditioning program as a full-time Intern
for the 2010 season.
Tanner has been working with Old School Quarterbacks since August of 2011.
